Oh Utah...How I've Missed You!

This last week I was lucky enough to go to Utah for a wedding and to see some great people! I started off the week on Tuesday in my favorite place...The hair salon! Patrick again did an amazing job and I walked out feeling so much better. I then met up with Kristin and Cora and spent some time out in Heber with Kim and Di! It was so much fun. I couldn't believe how much Cora has grown and how much she is talking!

As you can see...she was happy to see me to! After having breakfast at the greatest place in Utah I dropped Kristin and Cora off at the airport and headed out with my friend Ashlee to start the next thing on the list...the wedding!

After the wedding was over Ashlee and I went back out to Cedar Fort where we lounged around, watched movies, and went swimming. Below are a few pictures of Ashlee, her sister Jenny and Jenny's friends. They were trying to do lifts in the pool.

I then got to spend the end of my little trip with the greatest people ever! Jana, Emily and their dad. They had driven from MN to take Emily to school. I had so much fun with them shopping and just catching up. They are so funny...I laughed till I was sore! I just wish they lived closer!Jana and me after church

Playing in McCall

This past weekend Shelly, James and Hailey came to visit! So we all loaded in the car and went off to McCall! We had such a great time and it was so beautiful out there. Shelly, James and I were lucky enough to go on a trail ride while we were out there and we all really enjoyed playing in the lake and looking at all the fun little shops around town.


This is Shelly and I showing our true emotion about the trail ride upon seeing our trail guide. If you look really close in the second picture you can see him. He really is a true mountain man! He didn't shower or anything! Kind of intimidating!




Shelly and her horse Irish. The trail guide stopped everyone, jumped off his horse and came back with a stick in hand so that Shelly could hit her horse to get him to go. It was so funny to watch Shelly try to hit the horse! She just looked so girly!

It was Hailey's first time at the Lake and she had a blast! The water was cold but it didn't matter to her! She was splashing and yelling and having a great time...

...so great that she wore herself out and fell fast asleep!

On The Drive Out!

Kaitlin and I went with a big group of great people from my singles branch out shooting last night and had the greatest time! We went a little picture crazy and took some really great pictures before we even started shooting. This is a picture we took before we even met up with everyone. We pulled over on the side of the road in Nampa and wanted to take pictures with the cows but they all ran away from us as soon as we started to walk in their direction. I just love how the fence is in focus but everything else isn't.
The sun was perfect so we took advantage and Kait looked so good! I love this one!

Shooting like a Pro!

Like I said, Kaitlin and I went out shooting with some people from my branch and had a great time! We were a little afraid of the guns to begin with especially after our introduction to them where we were reminded that guns were made to kill people and were told all the safety stuff. Kaitlin and I had never even held a gun though so yea, it was a little intimidating! In the end though I think Kaitlin and I were surprised at how much we loved shooting! It's something we for sure want to go out and do again and again and again! Anyway, check out the great pictures below of some of the people from the branch and of course Kaitlin and I.

Bunny Bopping and Bubble Blowing

Don't be fooled by the title of this entry. I know it sounds like every pre-schoolers dream but it is not as nice and sweet as you would think. Let me explain... after we were done shooting my good friend Ryan and his buddies asked us to go bunny bopping. I was like, "What!" I had no idea what it was and I was informed that I could not live in Idaho and not go bunny bopping. Bunny bopping is also known as spotlighting. It is when you spotlight a bunny and shoot it. Kaitlin and I weren't so sure about it but after a little while Ryan successfully persuaded us to go.

Before we started Ryan pulled out the bubble gum and decided that we all needed to have a bubble blowing contest. As most of you know, I am not the biggest fan of gum. So I became the contest judge and picture taker. After the contest was over we all loaded into the car and took off. We shot one bunny (it was actually really exciting) and a half a mouse (his little leg got shot off). We also saw 2 badgers, Kaitlin saw her first shooting star and most everyone herd coyotes! We would have shot more bunnies but we didn't see anymore until we were driving home...we saw 4 or 5 while we were driving back! It was so funny! All in all it was a great night!
