Martha and Her Vineyard

This past weekend was a GREAT one! To celebrate SPRING and the beautiful weather 7 of my lovely friends and I took a mini vacation to Martha's Vineyard. We boarded the BIG BOAT at 10:00 AM Saturday morning . . .

and chatted it up the whole way there, even though over half of us were only running on 3 or 4 hours of sleep.
After arriving, we quickly began planning out our activities for the day.

We did a lot of shopping in Oaks Bluff, and even met an unexpected new friend.

We wandered on to the property of a hotel, which was closed for the season, to relax in their many rocking chairs.

We took silly pictures with old Book Store signs.
We contemplated jumping into the ocean for a little swim, but quickly changed our minds . . . it's not that warm yet!

And again, more silly pictures . . . Liz the Rock Star: "NO MORE PICTURES!"

We wrapped up day one with some good food and a lot of laughter.
Day two found us separated.
Casey, Liz and I found ourselves wandering around a few more shops (what can I say, I was brought up that way) and then it was off to the beach!

There were seashells covering the entire beach. We looked and looked and were amazed at all the different kinds of shells.
I felt like the true winner when I discovered this beauty! It made my whole day. How can you not look at that and SMILE?

After a little fun on the beach it was off to the arcade! I was thrilled to see the Great Zoltar who was waiting to deliver insight into my future, and Liz was excited by the toys that she missed out on growing up. I swear kids have it all these days!

After another lunch of ice cream, (I know, I know) . . .

. . . and a mad dash to get everyone's luggage from the bed and breakfast; we were beat and it was time to head home.

Thanks for the lovely time Martha, I will return again soon.
